My practice consists of digitally joined, original photographic imagery of many different subjects: machinery and metal parts, male physiques, details of motorcycles and cars, sexual activity among men, flowers and plants, architectural details, and fetish gear. Some pieces also incorporate found imagery of male physiques or autos. I join many disparate parts that share a subjective sense of kinship, and create works that defy a single reading, pushing toward abstraction. Through both content and form, the pieces are intended to explore a world of terrible beauty, queer desire, and raw emotion. Through fragmentation and merging, rational forms transform into a tense physicality and sensuality, a liberating antidote to the buffered and contingent nature of contemporary life. The works are presented as archival inkjet prints.
